What is the delivery time for the cupboards?

The delivery time for our cabinets is dependent on the Colour Collection. For the Signature Colour Collection (white, beige, black oak and natural oak), the delivery time is one to two weeks. For the Exclusive Colour Collection, the delivery time is four to six weeks as those cabinets are made to order.We feel it is important to keep you always informed about the expected delivery date. Therefore, we are making sure that the delivery time on the individual product pages is kept up-to-date at all times. Once you have placed your order, we will inform you about the expected delivery date by email.

How does delivery take place?

Once your order is ready for delivery, the delivery driver will contact you to schedule a delivery time. Delivery is only possible on business days (Monday to Friday).Important: The commissioned delivery driver will deliver your order to the first door of the building. If you live in an apartment building, this means the front door of the building. In other words, they will not carry the items to a different floor. In some cases, the delivery driver may help you carry the order into your home, but this is not required and the driver is simply doing this to be helpful. Your Waschtrum cupboard will be delivered as a whole (pallet + order).

Are you renovating your house and don't know when you need the washing machine and dryer cabinets?If you would like to receive the cabinets later than the expected delivery time, you can also order the cabinets on call. Indicate in the comments field in the checkout when you would approximately like to receive the goods.As soon as you are ready for delivery, please send us an email so that we can arrange delivery. Please note: for the Exclusive color collection we need at least 6-8 weeks of production time. So if you want to receive your order in a specific week, please inform us in time.

Can the cupboard (WSCS1462) hold a heavy washing machine of up to 120 kg?

Absolutely! The cupboard (WSCS1462) has undergone load testing by T&Uuml;V Rheinland for up to 120 kg. The 22 mm (Signature Colour Collection)/19 mm (Exclusive Colour Collection) thick base plate on which the washing machine is placed can withstand loads of up to 120 kg. The sides of the cupboard also serve a reinforcing function and the cupboard construction is designed to absorb the vibrations of the washing machine and dryer.

In what colours is the cupboard available?

The washing machine cabinets are separated in two colour collections. The Signature Colour Collection is available in white (with a white interior) black oak (with a titanium-coloured interior) and a natural oak (with a cashemere-coloured interior) and beige (with a beige interior. The colour of the white cupboards is comparable to RAL9016.The Exclusive Colour Collection is available in anthracite grey, dark green, a walnut wood, dark taupe, sage green (all incl. an anthracite-coloured interior of the drawers), and stone grey (incl. a white interior for the drawers).

Out of which material are cupboards made, chipboard or MDF?

Our customers often ask us about the material used to make the cupboards at Waschturm&trade; and whether this material is suitable for the combination of weight and vibrations of a washing machine. Our cupboards are made of high-quality board material (chipboard) with a melamine coating. In developing our cupboards, we conducted a material study to determine the most suitable type of board for the cupboard. As part of this, we contacted various major and well-established European manufacturers of kitchens and bathrooms for information. We learned that all of them use chipboard and not plywood or MDF.High-quality board material has a high compression strength and consists of fibres. These fibres are most suitable for strong screw connections. This type of material is flexible and the connections won&rsquo;t break due to vibrations, which will actually be absorbed. MDF, on the other hand, is made of compressed fine sawdust, so the connections will be very vulnerable due to vibrations. MDF is a rigid material that transmits vibrations rather than absorb them. A durable screw connection is not possible with MDF or only in combination with a pre-glued plug. Our protected cupboard construction makes sure that the cupboard absorbs the vibrations caused by the washing machine. Thanks to the combination of material and construction of the washing machine cupboards at Washtower, we boast the highest quality standard in Europe: T&Uuml;V certification. This means that we can claim with pride that our cupboards are 100% safe!

Is the cupboard material moisture-resistant?

The cupboard frame is made of 22 mm (Signature Colour Collection) or 19 mm (Exclusive Colour Collection) thick high-quality chipboard. The top layer is coated with melamine (as used in the kitchen, bathroom and furniture industry) and the edges on the front are protected from scratches and impact damage by edge reinforcement. We have also developed a special metal base plate that comes with every basic cupboard. It is placed under the machine and acts as a protective layer: if the machine leaks, the water runs onto the plate and not directly onto the wood. This way, the moisture does not come into direct contact with the cupboard, keeping it protected. Thus, our cabinets are moisture resistant but not waterproof. When used in a damp room (e.g. bathroom or basement), it is important that good ventilation is possible, so that the cabinets do not remain in a damp environment for a long time. Good ventilation is defined as: an open window or mechanical ventilation in combination with an open window.

The appliances will be positioned at a height of around 60 cm. This ensures that you do not have to bend while doing the laundry.

Do the cupboards (WSCS1462 & WSTT185) have a back panel?

Accepted Answer

No, the cabinets are completely open on the back. This makes it easy to connect everything. The drawer unit and pull-out tray on the WSCS1462 under the washing machine are 60 cm deep, so that you can easily connect everything in a downward direction.

What is the height of the entire cabinet set-up with one or two top cabinets?

If you have a 61 cm high top cabinet on top of the washing machine cabinet WSCS1462, the total height - including adjustable feet - will be 207 cm. With a top cabinet of 87 cm in height, the total height - including adjustable feet - will be 233 cm.

What is the soft-closing device?

With the soft-closing device, the doors and drawers of the cupboards close gently and noiselessly. This cushioning technique slows down the drawers and doors and then closes them automatically. This makes it much more pleasant to close the cabinet doors.

Can you put a washer and dryer in a cabinet?

Yes! The WSTT185 allows you to easily put your dryer on top of your washer. The washer cannot be placed on top of the dryer because of spinning, weight and vibrations. Alternatively, you can raise both machines to the ideal working height by placing them in the washer dryer cupboard. Do you need more storage? Then extend your washing machine cupboard with tall storage cupboards or top cabinets. Thanks to Waschturm, you can configurate the ideal washing machine cupboard for any room!

Where do I find the assembly instructions?

The installation instructions are always included in "package no. 1". With the basic cupboards, the contents of packages no. 1+2 are needed to assemble the cupboard (but this does not have to be done where the cupboard will be placed). The contents of package no. 3 are needed to finish the final components of the cupboard and to place it in its permanent location. Does the cupboard have to be mounted on the wall?

Question 19

Can I make a cut-out in the cupboard?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You can make a cut-out wherever you need it. If, for example, you want to have the faucet next to the cupboard, you can make a cut-out in the side of the cupboard for the water supply. The base plate ends at the wall. If the water supply extends slightly above the floor, you can easily make a notch in the base plate for connecting the water supply hose.

Does the faucet fit inside the cupboard and behind the washing machine?

Yes! A compact and flat wall faucet fits behind the washing machine. An example can be seen here. If you have a different type of wall faucet, there are three options: You can choose to turn the faucet a quarter of a turn, so that everything stays concealed in the cupboard. You can place the faucet next to the cupboard, so that you can easily access it. You can install the cupboard 5cm from the wall, so that there is a 10 cm-wide space for pipes. At what height does the faucet, drain, etc. have to be installed?

For the WSCS1462, the drain and faucet should preferably be installed at a height of 120 cm. For the WSTT185, the drain and faucet should be installed at a height of 60-80 cm. Make sure the power cables are at least 10 cm above the drain and faucet. See an example here. Regarding the WSTT185, make sure there is enough space for the dryer, preferably at a height of around 120 cm.

Can the cupboard for the washing machine and dryer withstand all the vibrations?

Yes. For the WSCS1462 we have developed a base plate on which the cabinet is built. This construction enables the material to absorb the resulting vibrations.

Is the washing machine cupboard strong enough?

The cupboards at Waschturm&trade; obtained the German T&Uuml;V-certification. Our cupboards have been tested by T&Uuml;V Rheinland for their mechanical and functional safety, as well as user-friendliness. This makes the cupboards at Washtower the first and only washing machine cupboard in Europe with safety certification. This certification also guarantees the strength of the cupboard.

Can the cupboard fall over?

No. Every basic cupboard is delivered with four large wall brackets and four 6 cm bolts, so that you can be sure that your cupboard is securely anchored to the wall.

Can the washing machine fall out of the cupboard during the spin cycle?

Accepted Answer

No. The basic cupboards are fitted with an anti-tip device &ndash; developed and patented by us &ndash; that fully guarantees that no machine can shake itself out of the cupboard.

How long do I have warranty on my Waschturm cabinet?

Accepted Answer

For purchases made from 1 June 2024 onwards, a commercial warranty of 5 years shall apply. For purchases made before this date, the applicable warranty period was 2 years. This commercial warranty is separate from, and in addition to, the statutory rights to which you are entitled as a consumer. We are convinced that you will enjoy your Waschturm cabinet for a long time after this period!

Can you put washer and dryer on top of each other?

Yes! With the WSTT185 laundry cupboard, you can place your dryer on top of your washing machine. There is a pull-out tray between the 2 appliances for convenient loading and unloading of the dryer or for folding the laundry. The washing machine must be placed in the lower niche because of its weight.

Can you put two washing machines on top of each other?

Accepted Answer

No. Due to the weight, vibrations and spinning of the machine, a washing machine cannot be placed on top of another washing machine. However, the two machines can be brought to the ideal working height with our different washing machine cupboards. To save space, you can place your dryer on top of the washing machine.

Can any washer and dryer be stacked?

Most washing machines and dryers can be stacked on top of each other. The most important thing to remember when stacking a washing machine and dryer is that the washing machine is a front loader. Because the dryer has to stand on top of the washing machine, you cannot stack a top loader.

How can I hide my washing machine in the kitchen?

Washer and dryer can be well concealed in one of our various washing machine cupboards. You can choose between classic white or elegant black-oak cupboards. Thanks to the modular system, all washing machine cupboards fit perfectly together and create a calm and organized utility room. That way, you can hide your washing machine easily in the kitchen. However, it needs to be noted that doors should not be placed in front of the machines as this would disrupt airflow and could void the warranty. Dryers and washing machines can be placed in Washtower&rsquo;s various cabinets without voiding the warranty.
